Recycling Guidelines
 
PLASTIC

Accepted:  #1 and #2 plastic.  For example, soda bottles, water bottles, peanut butter and similar jars, milk jugs, detergent containers.  Please rinse all food and beverage containers!

Not Accepted:  #3-#7 plastics.  These types include plastic bags, food storage containers, plastic pipes and all Styrofoam products. 

ALUMINUM AND STEEL CANS

Please rinse ALL cans.  No need to remove labels.

NEWSPAPER

Please remove all shiny inserts.

MAGAZINES

Telephone books may be places in the magazine bin.

OFFICE PAPER

Accepted:  White notebook paper, copier and computer paper, letterhead, manila folders, pastel colored paper.  Please remove paper clips, binders, covers and glued bindings.

Not Accepted:  Bright fluorescent and dark colored paper, yellow sticky tabs, envelopes with plastic windows, carbon or carbonless paper and paper containing wood pulp which looks and feels like newspaper.
