Corrections - Lieutenant - Sheriff Dept. - The duties include but are not limited to assist with the overall supervision of the County Jail; to ensure that the living conditions of the inmates are maintained in a humane manner; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to coordinate and oversee the training of all the correction officers and evaluate their work; to enforce all federal, state, and local laws resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.  Accepting online applications only.


Intensive Supervision Officer I - Community Corrections - The duties include but are not limited to:  supervising clients assigned to the 8th Judicial Community Corrections; to assist each client in improving the level of functioning within the community through education, employment, counseling, etc.; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.  Accepting online applications only.


Juvenile Intake and Assessment  Worker - Nights - Community Corrections - The duties include but are not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.  Work schedule:  1 night weekly plus a Friday - Sunday shift every 4 weeks.  Accepting online applications only.


Nurse Practitioner - Health Department - The duties include but are not limited to provide to the client family planning and well women exams and methods of birth control; to identify and treat sexually transmitted infections and vaginal infections; to provide physicals, immunizations, and referrals; to prescribe and distribute medications per pre-approved protocols; to be available as a resource person to other medical professional in the clinic area; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.  Accepting online applications only.


Correction Officer - Sheriff's Department - The jailer takes care of the needs of the inmates in the Geary County Detention Center.  The employee in this position is responsible for the safety, proper treatment, cleanliness, and basic care of inmates and the facility.  Accepting online applications only.
