Educational Liaison - Part-time - Community Corrections - The duties include but are not limited to provide assistance to students participating in the Truancy Success Program; to create a collaboration between Community Corrections and USD 475 and assist with Truancy Court.  Please see job description for full details.


Intensive Supervision Officer I - Community Corrections - The duties include but are not limited to supervising clients assigned to the 8th Judicial Community Corrections; to assist each client in improving the level of functioning within the community through education, employment, counseling, etc.; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.  This position will also cover Marion and/or Morris Counties, but will primarily be working in Geary County.  


Health Nurse II - BSN - Health Dept. - The primary job duties of a Health Nurse II - BSN are to certify clients and provide individual nutrition counseling.  This includes, but not limited to, providing eligibility information, data input, client education, program evaluation, and community outreach.  Accepting online applications only.  Please attach a Resume and Cover Letter to application.


Correction Officer - Sheriff Dept. - The job duties include but are not limited to take care of the needs of the inmates in the Geary County Detention Center; to provide the proper treatment, cleanliness, and basic care of the inmates and the facility; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to enforce all federal, state, and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


WIC Registered Dietitian - Health Dept. - The primary duties of a Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Dietitian is to certify clients and provide individualized nutrition counseling.  This includes, but not limited to, providing eligibility information, data input, client education, program evaluation, and community outreach.  Additionally, all county employees are expected to provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to county residents and the general public.  Accepting online applications only.  Please attach a Resume and Cover Letter to application.


Juvenile Intake and Assessment  Worker - Nights - Community Corrections - The duties include but are not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.  Work schedule:  1 night weekly plus a Friday - Sunday shift every 4 weeks.  Accepting online applications only.


Nurse Practitioner - Health Department - The duties include but are not limited to provide to the client family planning and well women exams and methods of birth control; to identify and treat sexually transmitted infections and vaginal infections; to provide physicals, immunizations, and referrals; to prescribe and distribute medications per pre-approved protocols; to be available as a resource person to other medical professional in the clinic area; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.  Accepting online applications only.
