Human Resource Director - This is an appointed department head reporting to the County Commission.  Responsibilities include all facets of county HR including recruitment, retention, policy development, compensation and benefits, compliance and to provide direction and support to other county departments and agencies on all personnel matters in the County.  Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration or related field.  Minimum three (3) years of administrative human resources experience required.  Broad HR experience in the public sector preferred.  PHR/SPHR, IPMA-CP, or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.  Accepting online application only.

Office Assistant - Sheriff's Dept. - Front counter clerical and receiptionist duties for the Geary County Sheriff's Department. Full-time position working 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.  Accepting online applications only.


Correction Officer - Sheriff's Department - The jailer takes care of the needs of the inmates in the Geary County Detention Center.  The employee in this position is responsible for the safety, proper treatment, cleanliness, and basic care of inmates and the facility.  Accepting online application only.
