Appeals Process for Real Estate

The property owner may appeal the classification or appraised value of the real estate property listed on the "Change of Value Notice", which is mailed out on or before March 1, if they feel it is inaccurate. 

Contact the County Appraiser's office within 30 days from the date of the mailing of the Change of Value Notices to schedule an informal meeting with an appraiser. 

If you do not agree with the results from this meeting, you may appeal to the Small Claims Division of the Court of Tax Appeals.
